Good Morning Crafters,
I’m so excited to be providing my first project as a Design Team Member for Stix2 Anything. I’ve had so much fun with this layout and I hope that it provides you with a little ‘Inspiration’ that you could add to your next Winter layout or even for the upcoming Festive Season.
As you will see, the actual page layout is quite simple and easy to follow – however for our ‘Icy Snow Flakes’ I have provided a brief Tutorial and list of Stix2 Anything products required to make these gorgeous and effect embellishments.
Firstly you will need to gather the following items :
Stix2 Anything Craft foam pads – little squares & round dots
Stix2 Anything Double Sided Punch Adhesive Sheets
Stix2 Anything Tri Pack Seed Bee’d & Fine Glitter – Blue
Stix2 Anything Cardboard Sheets
All other products are Stampin’ Up, except for chipboard letters. Now if you have Alphabet Dies you can easily use the Cardboard Sheets – this is now going to be my next purchase!!
HOW TO MAKE ICY SNOWFLAKE
You will need a Big Shot or similar machine and the Stampin’ Up Snow Flurry Bigz Die ( or similar) to make the snowflake.
Other Materials – Stix2 Anything Seed Bee’d, Double Sided Punch Adhesive Sheets, Stampin’ Up Dazzling Diamonds ( or Stix2 Fine Glitter or glitter of your choice), a tray or shallow container large enough to fit in your snowflake.
Start by cutting a square from the Stix2 Anything Cardboard sheet . Your square will need to be approx 14 x 15cm to so all three snowflakes in one cut. * If you don’t want to cut all three, just cut cardboard sheet big enough to fully cover your chosen snowflake.
Cut the same size square from the Double Sided Punch Sheet. Peel backing off and attach to the WHITE side of the cardboard square. Make sure that you rub over it firmly so that it is attached well (I used a bone folder / scorer to do this – a ruler works well too!)
Peel the top layer off the Punch Sheet and place the snowflake in your tray or container. Cover liberally with Beads and rub gently over the snowflake to help them attach. You may need to do this several times to fill in any gaps.
Once you are happy with the look, tip excess beads back into container. Take your glitter and pour over snowflake, covering well. Shake off excess and tip back into container.
Your snowflake is now complete and ready for your layout or card.
I hope you have enjoyed this design and learnt new ways to use the Stix2 range of products.
Until next time ….. Happy Crafting!
